Welcome!

The difference between making a living and making a fortune in sales is getting referrals. How do you get referrals? Well, let me show you - by the way...this is NOT a drill! I am asking for referrals!

1. Have you been to one of my events, read my articles, listened to my CDs or watched my DVDs? Did they help you increase your business, grades or confidence? GREAT! I am so happy to hear that.

2 Who do you know who is in charge of bringing in speakers for an event in 2008? Someone in your company, a trade association or network marketing business?

3. Send them an email and COPY ME IN IT. Explain to them that I will memorize up to 150 names before I get on the platform and the first demo that I will do is repeat those 150 names! Then I will memorize a 60 digit # in less than 2 minutes that I NEVER see and the group creates!

This is a fun, professional, educational and power talk. If it is a sales group the theme will be 'Triple Your Memory and Triple Your sales!' Other groups the theme of the meeting will be 'The Business Building Power of a Trained Memory' or 'The Power of a Trained Memory'

I just asked for referrals and taught you how at the same time!

1. Remind them that they are enjoying your product
2. Specifically ask the contact you are looking for instead of, 'Who do you know who would be interested in my product?' This causes their brain to lock up. You have to think for them and be specific!
3. Ask for the contact information!

DO NOT attend a dull meeting in 2008 and kick yourself halfway through saying, 'AH! I should have recommended Ron!' It is important that you send your contact an email and COPY ME IN THE EMAIL. I will follow up personally. Don't put the responsibility to follow up on your contact - they have other stuff to do! My email is ronwhite@yoursuccessstore.com

Should your referral result in a booking I will send you $350 worth of my best-selling products!

1. Why You Must Read Biographies by Ron White

"Don't worry boy, it will be alright. I've taken this road you are walkin' down. I've been in your shoes. It is just somethin' that you have got to go through. I had this same talk with my dad."

Those were the words I heard from my dad at the age of twelve, when my heart had flushed my eyes with tears because the life of my dog was flickering out. Through the years I have taken walks down the same road with my dad and I've heard different versions of the same speech when business was tough, friendships ended or I wasn't feeling my best.

Sometimes it is nice to know that what you are going through isn't an experience unique to you. There is comfort in knowing that others have been there and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Often, when you are in the midst of the tunnel – the only thing that catches your focus is despair, discouragement and depression. Yet, it can turn your day around when someone ventures into the tunnel – walks with you and grabs your hand to say, 'I've been here... hang in there. I turned out alright and you will as well.'

Unfortunately, we don't all have someone who will tread into the tunnel and walk beside with encouragement. This is why it is so important to read biographies! A biography is a unique way to have a successful person walk beside you as you examine the story of their life. You will often be surprised that the most successful people of all time experience the same struggles as you.

Einstein was divorced, Lincoln battled depression, Ronald Reagan had his heart broken by his first wife and Sam Walton went broke twice. Where did I learn these facts? From the biographies I read! Did it make me feel better because they had hard times? Yes and no. I never delight in someone else's pain. On the other hand, it is without question that Einstein, Lincoln, Reagan and Walton were monumental successes. It is refreshing and inspiring to read that they were also human and have walked down the same road that you and I have.

What an encouragement it was when my business was struggling a few years ago to read Sam Walton's biography and my eyes halted on the page where I read that at the exact age I was – at that time – that he was in an almost identical financial spot! I put the book down and a smile spread across my face. If you don't know who Sam Walton is, he started a small company called Wal-Mart a few years ago and it turned out okay.

Reading Sam Walton's biography was a neat way for me to get inspired and reminded that some pretty successful people have met discouragement head on and succeeded. In a sense while reading that book a message from the spirit of Sam Walton said, 'Ron – I have been there. It is hard, but don't give up. The reward is worth it. Now press on.' I did and I will be forever glad that I did.

Now, go to the bookstore and pick up a biography. By the way, if you are in a rough spot or experiencing some heartache...... "Don't worry boy, it will be alright. I've took this road you are walkin' down. I've been in your shoes. It is just somethin' that you have got to go through. I had this same talk with my dad."

EXPERIENCE

"Building a deck is NOT as hard as you think! I've watched TV personality Bob Vila do it many times, and he is a regular 'do-it-yourselfer' just like you, except that he has knowledge, skill, an unlimited budget and a large staff of experts." -- Dave Barry

"The good times we put in our pocket. The hard times we put into our heart." -- Les Brown

"One mistake will never kill you. The same mistake over and over again will." -- Harvey Mackay

"Mistakes are painful when they happen, but years later a collection of mistakes is what is called experience." -- Denis Waitley

"We can chart our future clearly and wisely only when we know the path which has led to the present." -- Adlai E. Stevenson

"Time is the wisest counsellor." -- Pericles

"Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Experience is an asset of which no worker can be cheated, no matter how selfish or greedy his immediate employer may be." -- Napoleon Hill

"Don't let the learning from your own experiences take too long. If you have been doing it wrong for the last ten years, I would suggest that's long enough!" -- Jim Rohn

"For years I have been accused of making snap judgments. Honestly, this is not the case because I am a profound military student and the thoughts I express, perhaps too flippantly, are the result of years of thought and study." -- George S. Patton

"As we advance in life we learn the limits of our abilities." -- James A. Froude

"I've come to believe that all my past failure and frustration were actually laying the foundation for the understandings that have created the new level of living I now enjoy." -- Anthony Robbins

3. Words by Zig Ziglar

Frequently, we become so pragmatic that we fail to be effective. Years ago the editor of the Dallas Morning News pointed out to the sportswriters that "Bill" was not a suitable substitute for "William," and "Charlie" was not a suitable substitute for "Charles."

Taking him literally, one of the sportswriters, in the heyday of Doak Walker of Southern Methodist University, wrote about an important game. In his story he pointed out that in the third quarter Doak Walker had left the game with a "Charles horse." I think you'll agree that the story lost some meaning with the use of "Charles."

Perhaps the ultimate absurdity occurred in an article in a national publication when the writer set up the computer to analyze Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. Incidentally, that address contains 362 words and 302 of them are one syllable. It's simple and direct but powerful and effective.

The computer, however, made some recommendations about how the speech really should have been given. For example, instead of saying, "Four score and seven years," the computer deemed that approach too wordy and suggested, "Eighty-seven years." The efficiency in the reduction is obvious, but the loss of effectiveness, power, drama, and passion is even more obvious.

When Lincoln said, "We are engaged in a great civil war," the computer questioned whether the word great was justified. This despite the fact that our nation suffered 646,392 casualties, including 364,511 deaths. The computer stated that the sentences were too long, and it criticized the statement that we could never forget what happened at Gettysburg as being negative.

I think you'll agree that eloquence and drama, combined with passion, logic, and common sense, are far more effective in inspiring people to do great things than technical correctness.

Think about it. Knowing their power, use your words carefully. You'll be a greater contributor to humankind.

See You at the Top!

4. Zig's Strategies for Success!

"You were born to win, but to be a winner you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win." – Zig Ziglar

What if you could be in a room with the great Zig Ziglar as he shares on 5 key components to success in life and business (including building a healthy self-esteem, developing & maintaining the right attitude, building winning relationships and how to set and achieve goals)?

And not only would you get to review the ideas and strategies Zig shares, on 6 full DVDs over the future weeks, months and years with your family and staff (and for yourself), but you also could listen to the CD version in your car and when you go for a walk or jog.

And lastly you would be able to translate all this into a strategic working personal and professional life plan using Zig's Performance Planner.

------If you watch these 6 DVDs, I can assure you that you will soon after make an appointment with your family to go through this entire program together! 5. Customer Feedback

Here are some of the testimonials and comments we received from our Ezine subscribers. We love receiving comments and feedback from our readers - so keep it coming!

Dear Ron, today, we are now in Day 28 of your Memory in a Month Program and I thought I had to write to you before we sadly come to an end. We really enjoy listening to you even though your accent is rather difficult at times to comprehend – no offence meant here but it is not what we hear everyday. "We" are my children Roberta, 11th grade high school student, Andreas, 6th grade German school and who has signs of dyslexia) and I (43 year old Singaporean Eurasian) married to a German working and living in Abu Dhabi since 1989 we return home to Germany in summer 2009.  Enough about our background. At this stage I would like to thank you for helping all 3 of us in improving our memory skills:

Roberta uses it a lot in her school work especially in her weekly Vocabulary Tests – so far she has scored using your Location, Code and Action method top marks in her class at every vocabulary test!  So much so that she takes it as a personal challenge to prove your system works and boy does she have a VIVID IMAGINATION when it comes to allocating her own pictures and so is the outright winner when it comes to MEMORY in our family now!

Andreas was at first overwhelmed by your program, so it was good that we worked together as a family to help him along the way... BUT once he got the technique ... he was off ... making notes in his house files for biology and most of all trying to remember names which he, like I, have difficulty with. The beauty of it all is that he has increased his power of visualization and this has spilt over into his spelling ability. As a dyslexic child, he found it very difficult to see the words in his mind's eye BUT every time you said that the reason why you did not get the answer was because you didn't have a VIVID enough PICTURE to remember so he started developing his pictures and now I am confident that he is on his way to improve not only his memory BUT his spelling too. Thank you!

As for me I must admit I enjoy your honest outright approach and the contents of which, although not very relevant to me, has given me an insight into the American constitution, American Presidents...etc. For me, the hardest part is remembering numbers... I wish I had a list of number with the appropriate picture already written for me to remember like your Memory Chart on Day 23. I know for sure that this would help me. So that's our story from Abu Dhabi! Take care!
-- Caroline

I purchased ALL of your CDs, awesome. I am a speaker with my first book coming out in Oct. I am putting it on CD and have other CDs coming out as well. Because of you I gave my first one hour presentation in Indy at the convention center with NO NOTES. Wow - that was huge for me, what a great feeling. Oh - you did a great job on the Einstein CD.
-- Ed "the flame" Laflamme

Dear Mr. White, thank you for writing the "22 Success Lessons from Baseball", I loved it. I found out, after sharing it with my Mother, that my Great Uncle is in the writer's wing of the Hall of Fame. His name is Edgar Munzel, he wrote for 43 years for the Chicago Cubs and White Sox. I may have never found that out, my Mom is a huge Tiger fan as was my Grandfather, Carl Munzel. He used to take me to Tiger Stadium, as a kid, and we would sit behind the White Sox dug out, His Brother would get us the tickets. It was a great time with fond memories. I am going to order 25 copies to give to friends, I think it could be one of my all time favorite inspirational books, and I read a lot of books. I also have many of your other training CDs, thanks for caring. Thank You Very Much.
-- Dave

I just received the Success in Sales pack plus all the bonuses, and I just have to tell you. I've only just gotten started listening to your CDs, but man, this is awesome stuff!
Just thought I'd let you know ;-) Make today your best!
-- Jeannette van Well Groeneveld

Dear Ron, thank you seems a pretty pathetic way to say how much I appreciate what you have done for me and we've never met. My testimonial is about your memory in a month course. Some 7 years ago I was diagnosed with M.S. which is a malfunction in the central nervous system. I was left with a very poor memory which manifested itself as being unable to know the name of every day items, peoples names (even my sons), or what was said to me 30 seconds earlier. This caused lack of confidence and a complete with drawl from the human race I felt stupid and unworthy. But I have now been through your course I have a far better memory and no longer feel stupid when talking to people. I have a new business in the health and nutrition business there are many products to remember. Each product has 4 sets of figures to remember.  Retail and wholesale and it has 2 sets of codes. How do I layer it on? I use my house files and use colours for each section. Thank you for your help.
-- Barbara

Thank you Ezine readers, for the sincere and kind words of encouragement and appreciation you sent us! -- RW
